This limited-edition kimono represents a new chapter in Vanguard’s pursuit of excellence. Crafted in partnership with adidas Jiu-Jitsu, it is hand-made in Los Angeles using 9.5oz deadstock selvedge canvas - an unprecedented material choice for Vanguard. Available in Indigo Blue and Pewter, each color carries its own quiet authority and heritage feel.

Each kimono features a fully hand-stitched construction with a distinctive 4-piece jacket and Vanguard’s signature 5-piece pant for superior fit and movement. Every detail has been considered: a vintage Japanese indigo dot denim lines the interior, while the collar is finished with a multi-colored chain stitch and reinforced with triple-needle seams for lasting durability.

Each garment undergoes an intensive wash process - enzyme, stonewash, and soft rinse to create a timeless, “lived-in” feel from day one. 100% pre-shrunk for a true fit, it may exhibit natural “high-and-low” tonal variations and subtle blemishes, which are intentional hallmarks of the finishing process and do not affect the integrity of the kimono. Each kimono is truly one-of-a-kind.

Packaged with care, your kimono arrives in a custom repurposed TYVEK tote, accompanied by a signature Iron Lion Soap blend - to keep you klean, fresh, and connected to the craft.

Care Instructions:

   - Wash in (cold water) to preserve the fabric’s integrity. 

   - Use a mild, organic detergent for optimal care. 

   - Always wash your kimono within a few hours of training. 

   - Avoid bleach and harsh detergents. 

Drying:

   - Hang dry for best results. Alternatively, tumble dry on a (low heat setting) if more convenient.
